This Section performs the following activities:

• Identify research areas/themes, develop and coordinate carrying out of research programmes and projects;
• Identify National and Global issues related to livestock research;
• Facilitate partnership and linkages with stakeholders in livestock research matters;
• Scrutinize research proposals from local and foreign researchers;
• Identify calls for research proposals and assist teams in preparing competitive research proposals; and
• Follow-up on implementation of research activities under TALIRI and prepare reports.
